Virginia Beach Stands With Israel

Our city’s elected officials have always shown heartfelt support for the Jewish people, both here and in Israel.

This week, during a visit to Israel by a delegation of U.S. police chiefs, the Virginia Beach Chief of Police met Shalom Sibony, a member of the Israeli Border Police. What made this moment so moving was that Shalom grew up right here in Virginia Beach before his family moved to Israel.

This chance meeting highlighted the deep connection between our city and Israel, reminding us that the bonds of service, community, and shared values transcend borders.
