The Jewish community of Virginia Beach gathered this week at Lunasea Bar for “L’Chaim to the New Year”; a night of music, unity, and inspiration.

The highlight was a live performance by Israeli singer Adi Gabison, who made Virginia Beach his second stop on an eight-state U.S. tour.

The crowd reflected the full spectrum of the local Jewish community: teens, young professionals, families, longtime Virginia Beach natives, military members, recent arrivals, and even a few for whom this was their very first community event. Seeing so many different backgrounds come together around one table was truly moving.

Beyond the music, the evening featured the sounding of the shofar, with everyone taking a moment for a personal prayer for a sweet and blessed year ahead.

To enrich the experience, guests enjoyed a festive spread of sushi, pastas, pastries, fresh fruit, and warm, fresh popcorn.

It was more than a concert it was a night of celebration, community, and hope for the year to come.
