Shavuot in Our Community – More Than a Holiday, a Turning Point

This year, something shifted — our community grew.
Nearly double the attendance from last year, and so many new faces who joined recently and already feel at home.
The feeling is simple: when people experience what’s happening here, they want to stay.
In the past, hosting a weekday Yom Tov was a challenge — people were busy, and turnout was tough.
But this time, even though Shavuot fell on Monday and Tuesday, the shul was full. That says everything.
We don’t take photos on Yom Tov, but here’s a glimpse of the spirit:
📸 A beautiful keepsake given to everyone who joined
📸 Our ark now holds three Torah scrolls — including one over 500 years old
📸 A close-up of that ancient Torah, opened for the first time Erev Shavuot — a living link to 3,337 years of Torah
There were full minyanim, warm kiddushes, and real connection.
On Monday, we hosted our main event — the Ten Commandments reading, with nearly 100 people and an incredible kids’ program led by three visiting yeshiva students from New York.
The dairy buffet? Absolutely over the top — cheesecakes, lasagna, blintzes, fresh pizza, ice cream, quiches, yogurt, and more.
And on the final day — an outdoor BBQ kiddush under blue skies and perfect weather.
This wasn’t just a celebration. It was a turning point. The community is alive — and it’s only growing.
