Our Community Joins a Powerful Memorial for Israel’s Fallen Soldiers

This week, our community took part in a moving and meaningful memorial project that brings together Jewish communities from across the region in a shared act of remembrance. At the JCC, a special installation is being created on the ceiling — hundreds of red flowers, each one representing a soldier who was killed or murdered since October 7.

As you can see in the photos, both our youngest and oldest members participated — from the children of our Jewish Kids Club to residents at the local senior home — creating red flowers, each with love and intention. Though in different places and stages of life, they were united by a common purpose.

This Sunday, all the flowers will come together as part of a powerful community-wide event at the JCC.

It’s deeply moving to be part of something greater — a shared expression of memory, unity, and love for our people.
